nucleus (1)

Although this is a nucleus in relation to the unit that follows it, I considered the following nucleus to be more prominent.  I therefore would put this label in lower case letters, i.e., "nucleus (1)."

JT2221229: I think that information should be in the notes and not in the chart.

But I think that in the chart the label should be in lower case letter.

1:10--3:4   I appeal to all of you: agree with one another. I urge this since some members of Chloe’s household told me that you are quarreling among yourselves concerning your spiritual leaders. It is absurd to quarrel and divide into opposing groups instead of being loyal to Christ.

grounds

1:18-2:5 The message of the cross is wisdom to people who  are being saved, including you.  People who are being  saved realize that the gospel message is wise.  It is wise because it is God's wisdom to save people.  God's foolishness is greater than human wisdom, and  his weakness is stronger than human strength,  so do not trust in human wisdom, but rather trust in God  who acts powerfully.

I replaced this theme statement with the former theme statement:  1:18--2:5  We who are being saved by God putting us in relationship to himself consider that this message demonstrates that God acts powerfully.

NUCLEUS (2)

3:5--4:13   I have applied the things that I have written to myself and Apollos to benefit you, so that you may learn to not do more than what God tells us to do in the Scriptures, so that no one will be arrogant toward fellow believers.  Instead, you should realize that it is God who provided everything for us to enable us to believe rightly, and it is He who will evaluate all people who serve him, and be humble as we, your apostles, are humble.

MEANS

3:5-4:5  God is the One who is important, not Apollos nor I.  God is the One who caused people to believe in him and to believe, trust, and obey him more, and God will properly recompense everyone for what they do to the group of believers that is called God's temple, because it is to God that that group belongs, and that group is holy. It is the Lord and not anyone else who will determine if we(exc) have faithfully served him, so don't judge us to determine if we have faithfully served Christ before Christ returns.

3:5-23  God is the One who is important, not Apollos nor I.  Therefore no one among you should boast that any particular Christian leader is superior to another, since we all and all things exist in order to benefit your thinking correctly about living as God wants, and since you belong to Christ, and he belongs to God.

3:5-17  God is the One who is important, not Apollos nor I.  God is the One who caused people to believe in him and to believe, trust, and obey him more, and so believers must carefully consider what they do to help other believers trust and obey Christ, since God will recompense all believers according to what they taught other believers to help them to trust and obey Christ more.  God will eternally destroy people who cause you to cease to believe and obey Christ.
