10:1b that all of our(exc) ancestors belonging to the Israelite nation who came our of Egypt with Moses were under the cloud

10:1c  by which God led and protected them,

'Red Sea'

10:1d  and all these ancestors passed through the Red Sea

10:2a  and God caused all of them to begin to live under the authority [MTY] of Moses

10:2b  when they walked under the cloud and when they walked through  the sea,

10:3a  and all these Israelite ancestors ate the same food

10:4a  They all drank the same water that Christ supernaturally provided,

10:4b  e;pinon ga.r evk pneumatikh/j avkolouqou,shj pe,traj( h` pe,tra de. h=n o` Cristo,jÅ 

10:4b  that is, they all drank water from the supernatural rock that was following them [SYM],

10:4c  and that rock was a symbol of  Christ.

10:5a  God benefited all of these people in these many ways  [vv. 1-4].

10:5b  However, we conclude that God was angry [LIT] with most  of these people

10:5c  katestrw,qhsan ga.r evn th/| evrh,mw|Å 

10:5c  since God caused the majority of these people to die and, as a result, their bodies were scattered in the desert [MET]

10:5d  because he judged and punished them because they sinned against him.
